Aurora Shooting

Well, another blog entry from a smart-ass writer who thinks he knows everything.

One of my favorite films ever made and underestimated is the movie Two Minute Warning. To sum it all up, it's a mid-70s flick involving a sniper hanging around a football game from the start, then ending with the sniper shooting at random people on the field or into the crowd just before the movie ends? I forgot, someone correct me on that (Oh, I have no followers, I forgot...).

In the end, the guy in question (spoiler coming up) is killed by the Swat Team and they all gather around in the aftermath. They talk about who they will never know why this sniper had done what he done. But the lead Swat Team member insists that over the next few days, the media will inform all about everything about the sniper.

This time around, Mr. Holmes was not killed, he willfully submitted to police and on top of the whole package, he booby-trapped his apartment. The interesting thing was is while I was at my job (I work midnights), I checked the CNN app at 4am to see the latest news, no mention of the shooting. Strange, I would guess CNN would've been jumping all over this.

It wasn't until I got in my car and listened to NPR where Steve Inskeep had said on the radio. I went home to put on Opie & Anthony, in where they played the Aurora Police Scanner. A few hours after this shooting, the scanner was filled with how to deal with the said situation, with a local restaurant wishing to help the police officers with free food. Then next, a domestic dispute had come in, needing a officer to deal with it. And how MSNBC was talking about political ads during all this. GREAT!!!

Imagine being a cop, being pulled away from what is more than likely the worst shooting ever in your town, to deal with a drunken man in a wifebeater saying, "Damnit, I kept tellin' da bitch I wanna steak in da oven when I git home, and da beer is warm.'

I went to bed at 7:30 with the knowledge that I will know the name of the said shooter when I wake up and turn on the IPad.

One o'clock in the afternoon, I turn on the IPad and find out the name. Overtime, we will know the intimate details of Mr. Holmes, his beliefs, his ideas, who his 3rd grade teacher was, etc, etc etc.

And also, some bloggers and 'experts' who are being overly dramatic.

Puff Daddy!

A high school senior was carrying a gun in Downtown Birmingham, Michigan. Not too far where I live.

One of P-Diddy's lost children, perhaps? Too lazy to make descent jokes and with this blog.
